8 Questions You NEED To Ask When Hiring a Home Inspector!

What does a home inspection cost?

The first question we always have is "how much is the inspection going to cost ?". You are making one of the biggest investments in your life and every penny counts but looking for a discount home inspector may cost you in the end.  Wood destroying insects, radon, water testing, lead testing and septic inspections. Make sure you are prepared when calling a home inspection company. Here is some information you should have when calling:

1: Square footage of the home and amount of rooms in the home.

2: Are all the utilities turned on, if there is no power or heat you may be charged to have another inspection on the shut off utility

Is the home inspector licensed?

Our inspectors are all licensed in the state of MA. Although there are no licensing requirements in RI, NH and Maine, Precision always ensures an inspection of the utmost quality.

Is the home inspector fully insured with errors and omissions insurance? 

 Precision Home Inspection Services is a fully insured company.  We pride ourselves on the quality and thoroughness of our work, but the insurance provides additional security that our customers will be protected. What does the home inspection cover? 

Precision Home Inspectors are extremely thorough.  They will inspect the entire home, including the structure, plumbing, heating and electrical systems.  They all carry ladders and will get up on the roof, if it is safe to do so. We will also inspect crawl spaces at no extra charge. ‘If we can fit, we will go!’

Question #6:

What type of report will I receive? 

Precision’s reports are easy to read, computer generated reports. We do not use checklists!  Our reports are customized to your home. (Pictures are also available upon request.)

Is my inspection guaranteed? 

ALL of our inspections are guaranteed.  If you are not satisfied with the inspection, simply let us know within 48 hours and receive a full refund.

Does the inspector work exclusively for me?
